Position Overview

PART TIME (50%) position for one graduate research assistant in special education, early childhood education, child language, speech and language pathology, psychology, social work, or related field. We are seeking a Graduate Research Assistant for a longitudinal project focusing on collaboration with early childhood professionals, teachers, and parents on interventions to increase the use of teaching strategies that promote the communication and language development of infants and toddlers with disabilities. Reliable transportation and the ability to be flexible in scheduling around family and staff schedules are required. Candidate must successfully pass a background check. Continuation is dependent on yearly funding and satisfactory annual evaluation. Position is located in KC, KS.

Required Qualifications

1. Current enrollment in 6+ hours in KU graduate programs in special education, early childhood education, child language, speech and language pathology, psychology, applied behavioral sciences, social work, or related field
2. Experience working with children in early childhood or community settings,
3. Research project must complement student's studies

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience working with children with disabilities
2. Background in language and/or literacy
