We are currently seeking a Program Director, Health Care Reporting and Program Compliance, who will advance the institution’s proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.

Your mission: Ensure accurate reporting and adherence to mandates and requirements for all HCC health science programs.
Your work: Developing, implementing and maintaining an effective health science-specific compliance program will be a primary focus. You’ll also work with the Texas Medical Center and Greater Houston Area hospitals/clinics on collaborative educational opportunities, and you’ll be an active participant in on-site visits from accrediting agencies. Developing policies on student admission, clinical conduct, retention and promotion; monitoring curriculum activities; and responding to inquiries from prospective students regarding health science programs will contribute to wide spectrum of activities you’ll be engaged in.
SUMMARY
The individual is responsible for ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to mandates and requirements for all health science programs in accordance with institutional/clinical affiliate policies/procedures and guidelines. The Individual will also provide support to the President, Executive Dean and program directors on a daily basis and work with administration, faculty and staff in pursuit of common goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop, implement and maintain an effective compliance program related to health science specific issues
Develop and implement policies regarding student background checks, state & hospital mandated immunization requirements, clinical affiliation agreements, radiation exposure, health and drug screening, and clinical placement
Maintain an awareness of and disseminates information regarding policy changes in ADA, state required immunizations, drug screening and other related clinical placement/employment requirements
Monitor curriculum activities, such as new program development, dual enrollment agreements, WECM maintenance and CurricuNet support
Develop and monitor college wide reports. Present data in a clear and concise manner, whether written or oral
Review all affiliate generated agreements for compliance with HCC policy. Format all HCC Memorandum of Understanding and Program Specific agreements and maintain current file for affiliation agreements. Provide monthly updates to program directors regarding the status of agreements
Develop and maintain an effective relationship with the Texas Medical Center and Greater Houston Area hospitals/clinics for collaborative educational opportunities
Provide data and information for Coleman College to appropriate state and local agencies, including affiliating institutions, certification and regulating agencies
Participate in College committees as requested or assigned
Coordinate and monitor the SEOI and the Community College Survey of Student Satisfaction processes for Coleman College academic, workforce and DE programs.
Provide data and information for Coleman College to HCC District offices of Institutional Research, Career and Technology Development, Registrar and Educational Partnership
Responsible for the development of policies related to student admission, clinical conduct, retention and promotion based on HCC policies, accreditation requirements and licensing guidelines
Assist faculty with the orientation of new clinical coordinators and program directors
Develop and monitor college reports including funding, licensing agency/external accreditation, contact hour, assessments, strategic planning, THECB and SACS
Provide data and information for chairs/program directors during curriculum revisions/additions, new program development, self-study reports, hospital instituted audits, THECB report preparation, SACS required documentation and on-site visits from accrediting agencies.
Maintain student background checks for health science programs. Give direction to students and departments in the case of positive checks
Respond to inquiries regarding health science programs from prospective students
Available to assist with program student orientations and college connection tours and presentations
Evaluate and maintain recording keeping system for student information
Assist with the evaluation of transcripts when necessary.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree required.
Masters in a Health Care related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three (3) years compliance related experience required.
Minimum of two (2) years of successful leadership and management of academic or workforce programs and activities with increasing levels of responsibility required.
Three (3) years of health care experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Excellent research ability and skill that includes researching legislation, policies, rules, regulations and laws.
High level of analytical ability, flexibility, self-motivation and dependability required.
Familiarity with the role of community college students as participants in clinical education in is required.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the community is required.
Demonstrated excellence in oral, written, and interpersonal skills with an awareness of current issues in higher education is required.
Accuracy, attention to detail, excellent organization and problem solving skills, ability to assume initiative required.
Exemplifies integrity and sound judgment in decision-making and when handling difficult circumstances.
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Student Module.
