Pensacola Christian College is seeking qualified individuals willing to use their skills to serve the Lord in a vibrant, exciting ministry. Pensacola Christian College, established in 1974 primarily as a Christian liberal arts college, is dedicated to maintaining the highest academic standards and presenting the vital issues of the day in light of Scripture. Key responsibilities include: Responsibility and oversight for coordinating all aspects of information systems technologies, including software development/programming, hardware, network infrastructure and architecture. Designing and maintaining the client/server environment, virtualization and networked storage approaches in a multi-faceted organizational structure. Managing the Information Technology department to develop and implement technology strategies focused on improving efficiency and productivity. Managing IT staff to enhance overall performance and pursue professional development aligned with the organization's goals. Maintaining a stable and reliable information technology infrastructure to maximize system uptime. Protecting data integrity and system security, including data back-up and record storage, system documentation, and a detailed disaster recovery plan. Providing strategic leadership in developing short and long term technology recommendations regarding the future of the IT systems; researches and reports on changes in the technology marketplace and their potential influence on infrastructure, budget, and goals. Utilizing Project Management skills with new hardware and software implementations, including cost analysis, negotiation of terms and conditions, project meetings, training plans, and maintenance costs/agreements. The ideal candidate has experience managing an IT department; good communication and people skills; is able to coordinate personnel requirements for up to 45 employees; has experience with programming, Cisco networking, VMware virtualization, FatPipe WAN aggregation, and EMC SANs.
