Job Summary/Basic Function:
Standard 12 month Fiscal Faculty, Continuing, non-tenure track position with primary responsibilities to research and teaching.
Must have a Ph.D. degree, postdoctoral training, and a strong sustained record of research publication.
Neuroscientists whose research programs complement the research strengths of our department and the newly established Wright State Premier Health Partners Neuroscience Institute.
Essential Functions and percent of time:
70% Serving as a principle investigator of a research laboratory. This typically involves being responsible for securing extramural funding, generating and publishing research results, managing and training laboratory personnel.
20% Classroom and/or laboratory teaching of medical, graduate and Undergraduate students.
10% Providing service at the department, University and scientific field level.
Essential Functions and percent of time (cont'd):
Expected to supervise research personnel and where necessary teaching assistant.
As principle investigator will be responsible for the planning forecasting and final approval of all grant funds obtained both internally and externally.
Non-Essential Functions and percent of time:
Standard laboratory research, office and teaching conditions.
