SUMMARY: University of the Ozarks is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to fill a newly created, dual role in the Student Life Office. This person will serve as a central Student Life Office staff team member helping to accomplish our office goals and objectives as well as our Intended Student Outcomes. This position reports directly to the Dean of Residential and Campus Life and is responsible for coordinating, planning and scheduling of the Seay Student Center and Rogers Conference Center. The position will also serve as the MacLean Resident Hall Director, a live-in position responsible for 160 upperclassmen residents. This position is a full-time, 12 month, live-in position with meal plan, and an annual salary of $20,000 with full benefits package including medical insurance, vacation/sick leave and retirement program. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  As the MacLean Residence Hall Director o Collaborate with the Residential Life Staff o Responsible for providing leadership for MacLean Hall, o Meet all administrative needs of the facility, oversee resident check-in and check-out procedures o Counsel and advise students on personal, academic, and social issues o Uphold community standards, while promoting and communicating the goals of the Residential Life Program and the University of the Ozarks o Participate in selection and training of all student residential staff o Supervise a student Assistant Resident Director and student Resident Assistant Staff o Work closely with the Student Life Office to develop and implement a comprehensive student development program in the residence halls  As Student Center Coordinator o Coordinate and oversee Student Center facility schedule, maintain campus events and facility calendar, and prepare related documentation as required o Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Seay Student Center and serve as the campus and community liaison for Rogers Conference Center events o Collaborate with University Advancement and Public Relations to supervise the sales, marketing, and promotion of the Rogers Conference Center and Seay Student Center o Receive and review venue reservations, finalize booked programs, offer facility tours, document inquiries and confirmations, and quote pricing for Conference Center o Collaborate with multiple departments on campus to ensure the success of programs and events, to include ARAMARK, maintenance and housekeeping, and other areas as necessary o Provide advice regarding services for audio, visual, and lighting equipment; ensure good working order prior to the events and provide technical assistant to customers o Assist with and/or coordinate facility set up and tear down o Maintain a professional, approachable, and courteous manner at all times while in contact with clients o Prepare invoices, monitor payments, and assess venue condition following events and activities
