The Department of Biomedical Sciences at Ohio University invites applications from individuals with expertise in the field of integrative or comparative physiology for its Athens, Ohio campus.
The successful applicant will be expected to teach cardiovascular physiology to medical students and participate in graduate education. The successful applicant will also be expected to establish and maintain an externally funded research program and to aggressively publish their work in high impact journals.
The research conducted by this faculty member is expected to complement one or more of the following scientific research foci at Ohio University including: musculoskeletal and neurological disorders; functional anatomy and biomechanics; and diabetes.
The Department of Biomedical Sciences is housed within the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM). OU-HCOM is undergoing unprecedented growth, with over $100 million in growth initiatives planned over the next decade.
