The Admissions Counselor maintains primary responsibility for advising and assisting incoming and prospective students with the admissions process, providing tours to prospective applicants and admitted students, reviewing applications, participating in yield recruiting, attending and helping to plan both on and off campus recruiting events, and traveling throughout the country to represent Florida Coastal at recruitment events. This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Admissions.
Implementing and maintaining yield incentive programs
Advising and assisting incoming and prospective students with the admissions process and relocation issues
Answering phone calls and emails from students
Attending recruiting events nationally to promote Coastal Law to prospective students
Completing projects assigned by the Associate Dean of Admissions
Helping prospective students through the financial aid process
Assisting with the planning and attending Chat Sessions, Information Days and Admitted Students Days
Helping to manage admissions social media sites
Organizing and maintaining the admissions office processing documentation
Updating admissions data and creating reports on current statuses and projections
Following the admissions communication plan through on each students prospect for admission and enrollment
Attending and participating in Enrollment Management meetings
Reviewing admissions applications for decision recommendations
Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
JD Degree and bar licensure is required.
Minimum 1 year experience within academic admissions or a comparable customer service environment.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Demonstrate ability to relate well to students, possess strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrate exceptional ability to communicate professionally through both verbal and written means.
Possess a professional, rigorous, respectful, supportive, energetic, and reliable commitment to student excellence.
Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and collegially with faculty, staff, students, and administrators from diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrate high level of organization, reliability, creativity, motivation, resourcefulness, and initiative.
Ability to be productive and efficient both independently and within a team setting.
Sound working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), strong overall computer skills (typing 40-50 wpm), and the ability to adapt to new systems. Prior experience with ACES2 software is a plus.

Ability to travel extensively and work for periods of time away from home. Ability to work during evenings and weekends throughout the year.
