Summary of Position
General helper in all areas of Snack Bar.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assists with food preparation, cooking, and distribution.
Works as cashier or deli worker.
Performs other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
Must have strong customer service and personal skills, and be a self-starter that exhibits taking initiative.
Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to think and reason clearly and quickly during stressful situations.
Must be able to multi-task.
Must be able to write orders and email correspondence.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to communicate well in English.
Basic knowledge of math and its application necessary to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions and percentages.
Must have knowledge of how to use a cash register and have experience with cash handling.
Must be able to work well with others, even during stressful situations .
Must be resourceful and comprehend Food Services operations; be organized and orderly.
Able to work well with management, full-time and student employees.
Have good personal hygiene.
Works 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. May be required to work some hours on weekends.
