Event Coordinator/Office Assistant

The Event Coordinator/Office Assistant will schedule events on campus in a consistent,
organized, and efficient manner and collect the appropriate fees and event insurance.
Candidate will coordinate event needs with campus and third-party groups; as well as,
administer the Ad Astra Event Scheduling software (schedule events, run reports, train and
assist campus event schedulers). They will also develop publications, promote events, and
coordinate all mail and vehicle reservations. This person will track and report campus utilities,
energy-efficiency projects, and savings. They will assist with AutoCad, Space Utilization
programs, and other administrative duties as assigned.
This person must have a High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of experience in an
office setting. Candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
possess knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications.
Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in Communications plus two years of office experience; someone
who can work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and community members; and who is
able to work in a fast faced environment, prioritize multiple projects, and perform tasks efficiently
and accurately. Preference given to those who have excellent writing, editing, data entry,
proofreading skills. Event scheduling experience is also preferred.
Compensation: $24,000-$27,000. Comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer
