Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director is expected to provide academic leadership to the Nursing Program. In addition to administrative management, the duties include curriculum development, faculty and staff supervision, budgetary controls, assessment of student performance, professional development of faculty and all related activities that are necessary for offering a quality Nursing Program. The Director of Nursing is responsible for promoting the qualitative and quantitative standards that are required for maintaining the approval form the South Carolina State Board of Nursing, and accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Minimum Requirements for Entry into Position:
An earned Doctorate in Nursing with evidence of at least five to seven years of effective academic administrative experience at a University.
Record of scholarly productivity.
Experience with proposal/grant writing highly desirable.
Experience interacting with a variety constituencies on and off campus.
Capable of teaching in specialty area.
Preferred Requirements for Entry into Position:
