Position Summary:
The Director of Student Involvement & Leadership (SIL), serves as the primary programming advisor to student leadership development programming including Student Activities & Organizations, Leadership And Education Development (LEAD) and Fraternity & Sorority Life on the Boca Raton campus. Serves on associated committees including Parent and Family Weekend. Works the Weeks of Welcome committee, the Student Leadership Initiatives Committee, and other related student affairs committees. Serves as liaison between SIL and Student Government. It is critical that the Director ensure that the offices of Student Involvement and Leadership, Fraternity & Sorority Life, and Student Government work together to best serve FAU's student population. Establishes, maintains, and advises the Council of Student Organizations (COSO), Homecoming, Elite Owls, ODK, Greek Councils, and other related student leadership groups. Attends various conferences and seminars to coordinate the continual improvement of services offered. Serves as the custodian of all SIL office records.
Minimum Qualification:
Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Public Administration, or Education and six years of appropriate working experience in college student activities, Greek Life, or student programming in a college environment. Valid Driver's license required. |
