Provides support to the research and assessment functions of the department. Responsible for design, development and maintenance of databases and analyzing large data sets with primary emphasis on enrollment management and student support special projects. Builds data tables, prepares information for distribution, presents and explains information. Develops queries for data extraction utilizing tools such as Argos and Access.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor Degree and one year of experience in related field. Knowledge of computer applications and languages such as SPSS and/or SAS, Microsoft Office (Access, Excel and Word) used for the collection, analysis and presentation of research findings. Ability to analyze and communicate information in numerical and narrative form. Familiarity with Banner, HTML, JAVA, Visual Basic and Dashboards is a plus. Strong background in assessment and outcomes measurement required. Good analytical and strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to relate to a variety of individuals. Excellent written and oral communication skills, time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Demonstrated proficiency in software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook.
Essential Job Functions:
- Conducts research on special research/analysis projects.
- Creates and maintains research databases and permanent records of research.
- Performs senior level research assignments including data retrieval/collection, tracking, analysis and interpretation and reporting.
- Provides accurate research data to aid in sound management decisions, generates reports, verifies data and meets deadlines for internal reporting.
- Assist with the development of outcomes and assessment measures.
- Provides graphic and numerical display of information for presentation to a variety of audiences.
- Reacts to and manage changes in priorities and workload.
