Janice DeMasters named dean of Chamberlain College of Nursing - St. Louis

Chamberlain College of Nursing has announced the appointment of Dr. Janice DeMasters, PhD, MSN, RN as dean of its St. Louis campus. In this role, DeMasters will oversee implementation of the curriculum, delivery of student services, growth and development of clinical partnerships, and management of the day-to-day operations of the St. Louis campus of the College.
DeMasters joins Chamberlain with more than 25 years of experience in nursing, education and research. Prior to her arrival at Chamberlain, DeMasters most recently served in a consulting capacity for a number of nursing colleges where she provided oversight of various components of nursing education programs including on-line graduate program curricula, budgets, staffing and clinical agreements for the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs.
She had previously spent nine years as part of the St. Louis University (SLU) School of Nursing faculty, where she taught courses for degree levels ranging from Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) through PhD. Her contributions at SLU also included developing curricula, participating in student recruitment and coordinating preparation for Missouri Board of Nursing site visits. Prior to her career at SLU, DeMasters was a member of the faculty at Deaconess College of Nursing, now Chamberlain College of Nursing.
