The Rev. Thomas J. O'Hara, C.S.C., is stepping down as president of King's College.
The Rev. O'Hara, a Hazleton native, started at King's as an assistant professor of political science in 1988. He has been president since 1999. Now he's going back to teaching.
"I have a passion for the classroom, and most important to me is my identity as a priest," Father O'Hara said.
The announcement was made Thursday.
Father O'Hara will remain in his role until June, then take a year's sabbatical to give a new president time to establish priorities and directions on his own.
