Soon after eliminating the 5-year-old Yale Initiative for the Interdisciplinary Study of Anti-Semitism, Yale has announced a new program called the Yale Program for the Study of Antisemitism, according to the Anti-Defamation League.
The ADL, which previously spoke out about Yale’s decision to eliminate the first university-based study of anti-Semitism in the United States, said it is hopeful about this decision.
"We are satisfied that Yale University understood the critical importance of continuing an institute for the study and research of anti-Semitism. We believe the administration understands the importance of this subject, and its continued situation at Yale," Abraham Foxman, ADL's national director, said in a statement released on Monday.
