University of Michigan medical school faculty hiring hits "highest point ever"

The University of Michigan Medical School expanded its faculty personnel by 24 percent from its 2005 to 2010 fiscal years, including 184 new faculty members from the 2009 to 2010.
U-M said today that with 2,254 faculty members today, the Medical School now stands at “its highest point ever” in faculty personnel.
In comparison, statistics from the Association of American Medical Colleges show that personnel at U.S. medical schools increased 3.1 percent from 2007 to 2009.
