Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Video Production Manager in the Department of Communication. Primary responsibilities include supervising and scheduling television and audio studios; overseeing repairs, purchasing equipment, checking out equipment to students; maintaining and updating all field production equipment; keep studios updated with latest technology; insuring that all equipment is compatible with computer based technology and audio/video delivery systems; supervise up to five student productions per week; supervise student workers; videotape campus events for the President as needed; provide oversight of journalism computer lab and assist with aggiecentral.com. Must be able to operate under deadlines and capable of working with others.
This is a twelve month professional position in the Communication Department (which currently has about 170 majors) offering a B.A. in Communication. The faculty currently consists of eight tenured or tenure-track faculty, three full-time non-tenure track faculty, and additional adjunct faculty. The department offers a major in communication with concentrations in speech communication, radio/television, public relations/organizational communication, and journalism.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree from an accredited university; experience and knowledge in lighting, audio video techniques, video switchers and audio consoles, graphic generators, non-linear editing and studio operations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication or a related field. Professional production experience in audio/video production including television news. Demonstrated excellence in television/radio studio management and in producing video productions.
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with experience.
