Duties:
Provide advising to students regarding academic career and program transitioning related matters. Establish and maintain contact with students to monitor academic progress and assist students. Assist with the development and coordination of workshops, presentations and student orientation programs. Assist with co-curricular tracking and coordination of workshops, presentations and student orientation programs. Refer students to appropriate services and departments when necessary. Maintain accurate student records while using computers to generate reports and communicate with students. Must be available day, evening and weekend work hours.
Qualifications:
Requires a Master's degree in education, business or other relevant field. Experience working with students and others in an educational or agency environment is required. Organizational, computer and excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Preferred qualifications include at least two years experience in academic advising and counseling in post secondary/higher education. |
